A comparison of the effects of multimedia and peer teaching methods on medication adherence in heart failure patients

Objective: The present study investigated and compared the effects of peer multimedia teaching methods on medication adherence heart failure patients. Methods: This quasi-experimental was done in Arak University Medical Sciences hospitals, Arak, Iran. Samples were 44 patients with failure, studied two groups. Twenty-two received education through content developed by researchers a trained educated other 22 patients’ assessed questionnaire designed Girerd et al. (2001) before, immediately after, 1 month after intervention. Data entered SPSS 23 analyzed descriptive inferential statistics (ANOVA). Results: indicated that different each group one intervention; however, there no statistically significant difference between Conclusion: Both improved failure. However, improvement rate higher group. Practice Implication: It is suggested to use an appropriate method for situations based available facilities conditions.
